Due to extremely cold temperatures predicted for Tuesday morning, MARTA rail service will run slower than normal – in the interest of safety – until temperatures rise later in the day. Some bus routes may also experience weather-related delays.

MARTA has put a Winter Operations plan into effect to ensure the safety of customers and personnel. Trains will resume running at normal speeds once temperatures rise to 10 degrees or higher, which is forecast to occur by approximately 10 a.m.

MARTA will begin preparing its bus fleet earlier than normal and all routes will run on a normal weekday schedule. Mobility service for paratransit customers will also be in operation. Customers seeking additional information should download the MARTA “On the Go” app to their smartphones for real-time data on bus and rail service or visit www.itsmarta.com for regular updates.
