Blu Topaz, Inc., an educational consulting company, and Pyramid Row Promotions is sponsoring "A Day in the Life" essay competition to offer students the opportunity to experience a typical workday for Atlanta's leading communications and entertainment professionals.

Applicants must submit an essay of 300 to 500 words on "How does media (music, movies or television) impact young people?"

Students who aspire for a career in television can find out what television is all about at The Youth Focus.

The media literacy program, which tapes the monthly teen talk show "Who's Got Issues," is seeking high school students with reliable transportation and an interest in media.
