People who would like to help victims of rape can volunteer to staff the DeKalb Rape Crisis Center's 24-hour crisis line or serve as hospital companions for rape survivors.

The center, which offers help and support to victims of sexual assault, also need volunteers for its Speaker's Bureau and to serve on its Special Events Committees.

Volunteer training sessions for the fall begin in October. The Rape Crisis Center is at 204 Church St. in downtown Decatur.
