Great music, discounts, prizes, surprises and a car show are just some of the activities that will greet customers at the April 7 grand opening celebration for E2 Wireless on Flat Shoals Parkway.

The festivities will kick off at 11 a.m. for the new Verizon Wireless store, located in the Villages at Flat Shoals shopping center, across from the Kroger at Chapel Hill Commons.

Eddie Lovick, the store's owner, said Malcolm Cunningham Ford will display cars during the event and there will be a deejay. The Flat Shoals location is Lovick's first Verizon store, but the Decatur resident is no stranger to business. He launched the E2 brand as a coffee house in Oakhurst in 2003 and still operates one in East Atlanta.

Lovick opened his second E2 Wireless store in December in Jackson, Ga. and plans four more stores in metro Atlanta including a store in downtown Decatur that is scheduled to open in April.

Kelly Poole, a store associate, said that they are happy to bring Verizon services to new areas.

"We're proud to offer our customers flexible pricing and service offerings, the best wireless network and outstanding customer service," she said.
