The CD will be available exclusively at the Lithonia mall from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 8, 15 and 22, near the Food Court for a $10 donation that will go to the Decatur-based foundation, created by Linda, Brandon and Brian Casey. The Casey brothers are also members of Jagged Edge.
Starting Dec. 19, the Jagged Edge Youth Christmas Choir (J.E.Y.C.C.), made up of DeKalb County kids, ages 8 to 15, will appear at several locations in and around the metro Atlanta area to promote the CD.
Kyle Norman, a Jagged Edge member, will direct the choir at a number of their appearances.
The Atlanta tour will climax with a 2 p.m. performance on Dec. 22 at the mall's Lower level, near Macy's. In between, the choir will make stops at area retirement homes, hotels and other locations to sing seasonal favorites like "Jiggle Bells" and "Oh Holy Night."
"For The Love of My Child Foundation" sponsors programs year round that aid and empower at-risk kids in Atlanta and Hartford, Conn. The foundation uses the arts - musical, visual, performance and structural - to illustrate the outlets available for kids to display their creativity.
