Internet Basics will be offered Jan. 11 at Salem-Panola Library from 10 a.m. to noon.

The Stonecrest branch also is host to an Excel Basics class on Jan. 12. It takes place from 2 to 4 p.m.
Participants can learn parts of an Excel workbook, navigating within the workbook, making changes to an existing workbook and other skills. The ability to type and use a mouse is required for the class, which is limited to 12 participants.

At Flat Shoals Library, beginners can pick up pointers at a Computer Basics class on Jan. 17 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Participants can learn the basic parts of a computer, basic terminology and how to use a mouse. No computer experience necessary, but the ability to type is required. The class is open to the first eight participants.
