Ken Toussaint’s wallet is a little fatter these days.

Toussaint, a Decatur resident, was one of three Georgia Lottery players to pocket $250,000 each in the Dec. 12 Mega Millions drawing.

The 55-year-old purchased the winning Quick Pick ticket at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta while on his way to board a flight to California.

Toussaint didn’t find out he had won the quarter-million dollars until he went on the Georgia Lottery’s website and checked the winning numbers on the ticket.

He had been holding the ticket in his pocket for over a month.

“I’ve had it in my wallet all this time,” he said.

When he realized his ticket was worth something, Toussaint said he went numb.

“I’m still numb,” he said. “I’ll probably scream later.”

Toussaint said he will probably use his winnings to further his education.

“I feel very good,” he said. “Almost like a dream.”
